Bristol Short Story Prize 2018

The Bristol Short Story Prize is an annual international writing competition, open to all writers around the world – published and unpublished, UK and non-UK based writers. The competition which is organized by Bristol Short Story Ltd., a not-for-profit company registered in England and Wales, publishes an annual short story anthology as well as giving cash prizes.

Shortlisted stories can cover any theme or subject and come in any style including graphic, verse or genre-based. Entries must be in English and made online or by post. Maximum length of submissions is 4,000 words and entry fee of £8 for each story submitted.

Only 20 stories will be shortlisted and published in Bristol Short Story Prize Anthology Volume 11. First, second and third prizes are £1,000, £700 and £400 respectively while each of the remaining 17 writers will receive £100.

Deadline for entry submission is 1st May 2018 and entrants must be over 16 years old on the closing date.
