CONTENTMENT

Let’s talk about contentment

Contentment is a decision to be satisfied.
Appreciate what you have now believing that more will come that it’s own time.

Ecclesiastes 2:4-11
Vanity is not that you bought an expensive shoe
Vanity is that you went out of your way to purchase that shoe despite knowing you can’t really afford it.
Vanity is that you ensure to satisfy all your wimps and desires at any cost.
Vanity is that you spend all your time desiring what your neighbor can comfortably afford; forgetting to be grateful for the little you have.
Watch it!
That is how envy, jealousy and covetousness springs forth.

The festive season is here again and the need to spend wisely cannot be over-emphasised. Don’t make efforts to spend your earnings and savings on things you can’t afford.
Next minute your either broke, in debt or trying to manage the little left.
Learn to accept and enjoy what you can afford at the moment. You don’t need to impress anyone. You must not keep up with trends above your financial status.
Don’t heed all your desires. They are false appetite which will slowly fade away. Tell yourself,

“Darling, you can’t have this now”

If your brain refuses to cooperate forget the pep talk and be stern

“Ogbeni!Oya snap out of it”

Even if that desire is real, alive and kicking;you don’t always have to indulge. Learn when and how to say ‘NO’ to yourself and your unending desires.
It’s called Self-control.

There is a peace that comes with being content.
In this life, we will all get to our own place
Be wise and patient while you’re still on the journey.
